Far from home

Well I always wanted to write a blog about this song, because this song grew on me as days passed in Hyderabad. When I first listened to the song, I wasn’t able to completely relate to it, but spending almost 6 weeks in Hyderabad, having so many experiences, events happening and things changing, the song is relatable, each and every word of the song is quite relatable.
The song begins on a simple, elegant and straightforward acoustic guitar riff, and when you listen to the lyrics, you will figure out the song has sad tone to it.

I don’t think I need to give you an introduction about hostel life, because I have being blabbering about it in the previous articles. When you stay in a completely alien city in a different state away from home, you will have experiences and lessons which will affect you in a big way. You will find out what it is like to stay alone in a big city, no family and home. This is the place where you will be exposed to the harsh reality of the real world , moreover you will realize how different the coveted and safe environment of your home is. People say that real world teaches you lessons, which will change you, which will make a person, with great wisdom, yes I completely agree to it. You will realize that home is much more important place than any place else, even when sometimes it might not always be an ideal place to return to. The environment, the surrounding in which I’m living, the clean air, the peacefulness of this place and the greenery always captures my attention, this place in some ways is ‘heaven’, but this ‘heaven’ will try to keep you away from home. Whenever there will be a moment you have to choose between heaven and home ,that moment will define you, it will test you for your allegiances to home, it will be that moment when you will actually find out whether you have changed or not, that moment will be a defining moment in your life.

In this hostel life, you will meet a variety of people, with different aspirations, dreams and ideas, you will start realizing how diverse this world is, you will find out the real meaning of true friendship, you will feel the pain you get from broken dreams, and moreover you will start out growing your old personality. A hostel is nothing but a ‘carnival of souls’, ‘souls’ with different life journey, ‘souls’ who are protagonist in their own life movies, where you will see that each one has its own climax, its own tragedy, his own fate. Well this article might not go word to word with respect to the song, but I think it takes into consideration lyrics and overall feel of the song.
All I have to say is hostel life will either be a breaking point of your conscience or an awakening of a self, which is much wiser and greater. In the end you will realize that whatever place you are staying maybe a heaven, but that heaven has no comparison to the home, you always and forever seek.
